1026 Iskolar ng Bayan graduated from Pamantasang Mindanao, Heneral Santos

On 9 July 2020, the Mindanao State University, General Santos City confirmed the degrees of 1,026 students from the 7 colleges and school of graduate studies. It can be recalled that the MSU System cut short the 2nd semester of the academic 2019-2020 in mid-March this year due to the complex health emergency posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The health crisis consequently resulted to a widespread lockdown of all private and public organisations, including the University. MSU decided to adopt a mass promotion scheme of all its students owing to the premature conclusion of classes.

Although formal graduation rites for the Batch Paham-Alimbukad was held in abeyance as mass gathering is prohibited, MSU General Santos conferred various academic distinction awards to excellent and brilliant students. For AY 2019-2020, eleven graduates are conferred with Latin honours, cum laude. Based on the standards of the University, students with grade point average (GPA) of 1.75 or better are deserving to receive Latin honours. For Batch Paham-Alimbukad, Mr. Joris C. Alderite from the Department of History, College of Social Sciences and Humanities garnered the highest GPA of 1.5840. Joining Alderite in the Latin honour circle are:
