The Gender Focal Point System (GFPS) hosted another episode of GAD Dula Online which kicked off Friday, April 23. The activity was part of its endeavor of accelerating the realization of women empowerment and gender equality.
The gendered conversation dubbed as “pep talk” was the highlight of the event with Mr. Norman Ralph B. Isla hosting. Guests, Ms. Karla S. Torcelino and Mr. Mohamad Nazir Naga, shared their life experiences and gave tips on how to overcome the persistent challenges of discrimination and women’s unequal access to decision-making. The pep talk also highlighted gender development and sensitivity to empower women by emphasizing their importance as active contributors to development anchored on the commitment of real change and true compassion.
Aside from the pep talk, brain-twisting logic and word games were prepared to encourage the students of the university to virtually participate and compete in the GAD Dula race. The race was composed of 9 teams namely: College of Agriculture, College of Business Administration, College of Education, College of Engineering, College of Fisheries, College of Natural Science and Mathematics, College of Social Science and Humanities, Senior High School and CETD.
