Indonesian International Islamic University, MSU-GenSan hold exploratory meeting to foster collaboration

Indonesian International Islamic University, a global leader in preserving and promoting Islamic culture and civilization, met with MSU-General Santos for an exploratory meeting aimed at fostering collaboration and cooperation on May 25, 2023, at the Conference Room, Administration Building.

The event brought together the key officials of MSU General Santos headed by Chancellor JD Usman D. Aragasi, MPA, and Prof. Dahrul Hayat, Ph.D., the Vice-Rector for Academic, Student, and Human Resource Affairs of Indonesian International Islamic University. The objective of the meeting was to explore potential areas of collaboration on research, extension, and internationalization and identify opportunities for student and faculty exchange.

In his message, Chancellor Aragasi expressed his pleasure in the timely visit of Professor Hayat and conveyed his excitement to forge partnerships and collaborations. He cited possible areas of collaboration in Islamic studies and the offering of subjects in the Bahasa language.

In response, Dr. Hayat expressed his appreciation, and gratitude for the opportunity to visit the University and explore potential areas of collaboration. He articulated their interest to collaborate in the areas of education, research, halal, and faculty exchange. As an expert in instruction and student evaluation, he conveyed his willingness to teach at MSU General Santos.

During the open forum, the participants actively engaged with Dr. Hayat on questions related to admission, research collaboration, student, and faculty exchange. Dr. Hayat generously answered the questions and invited the faculty and students to pursue their graduate education at the Indonesian International Islamic University and avail of the scholarship grants of the university.

The exploratory meeting was facilitated by the Office of International Affairs headed by Prof. Beverly T. Garcia and Halal Research and Training Center headed by Dr. Abdul Lantong.
