Vice President Robredo donates PPE to MSU Gensan

The Mindanao State University General Santos City Medical Services Department headed by Dr. Usmaima F. Usman received Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) donations from the Office of the Vice President Leonora “Leni” Robredo last June 30, 2020 through the initiative of Mr. Mohammad Nazief Naga of the MSU OVCRE. The donations included Kn95 masks, gowns, goggles, gloves, shoe covers and head covers.
VP Robredo’s Angat Buhay Program is the Vice President’s anti-poverty flagship, which aims to offer and provide an avenue for various private individuals and organizations to support alleviate challenges faced by communities in the country. Multitude of partner projects have already been mobilized in different adopted local government units. The said program is geared towards responding to six advocacy areas: rural development, food security and nutrition, universal health care, public education, women empowerment and housing resettlement.
Chancellor Anshari P. Ali of the Mindanao State University General Santos City Campus has expressed his endless thanks to the Vice President and finds this as another opportunity to reaffirm his commitment in taking part in this fight against this global health crisis. Dr. Ali’s leadership has always been integral in initiating various programs in an attempt to help the local government in addressing the pandemic.
Dr. Usman emphasizes that the country will only end up victorious if collaborative efforts from different sectors are set in place. Furthermore, the department maintains its stand in upholding its mandate in providing quality health services to the community.
