OVCRE conducts Technical Evaluation of Research Proposals for Internal Funding

With optimistic direction of the University in strengthening the Research and Development under the leadership of Chancellor Dr. Anshari P. Ali, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension (OVCRE), led by Dr. Edna P. Oconer, conducted a Technical Evaluation of Research Proposals for Internal Funding on March 15-16, 2021. This initiative aims to ensure that the research proposals are relevant to the thrust of the university and responsive to the society’s needs.

Six research proposals were introduced by the proponents from various disciplines namely: Biology, Social Sciences, Information and Communications Technology, Marine Biology, Accountancy, and Aquaculture. The Research and Development Council were in charge of evaluating the studies which are subject to approval for fund assistance. 

The following are the names of the researchers who presented their proposals:

• Mr. Norman Ralph B. Isla and Mr. Jeffrey E. Floriza

• Prof. Jose T. Trillo II and Prof. Julius V. Mingoc

• Dr. Monsour D. Pelmin and Prof. Ramon V. Descallar

• Prof. Ronald P. Sombero
