Delegates from MSU-General Santos led by the Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM) had a courtesy meeting with Minister Mohagher Iqbal of the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), BARMM, March 25 in Cotabato City.
The IPDM shared the efforts of the university in promoting peace through its tripartite focus on instruction, research and extension. On the other hand, Minister Iqbal expressed his gratitude to MSU-GSC, especially to Chancellor Dr. Anshari P. Ali for the initiatives in helping BARMM plan the integration of Peace Education in its curricula.
Present during the meeting were IPDM Director Dr. Jovar Pantao, IPDM Peace Education Coordinator Prof. Najifah Macaraya, IPDM Peace Research Coordinator Dr. Abdul Lantong, IPDM Peace Action Coordinator Dr. Monsour Pelmin, Office of International Affairs Director Dr. Anderson Villa, MSU-CETD Director Prof. Esmaida Andang, University Press and Communications Office Director Monlouie Sorzano, and Administrative Staff Jasmin Saricala, Raine Barra, Johaira Ali and Mamerto Herrera III.
