MSU-General Santos hosts workshop for Bangsamoro Community Resilience Action Plan

MSU-General Santos hosts the “Design Workshop for the Enhancement and  Finalization of the Bangsamoro Community Resilience Action Plan”, March 26 in Cotabato City. The event was organized  in order to consolidate shared experiences, challenges and gaps, good practices and lessons learned on initiatives directed towards community resilience in BARMM. 

Gracing the endeavor was Chancellor Dr. Anshari P. Ali who gave his opening remarks and stressed the Islamic principles relevant to peace and development. Likewise, present in the event were co-organizers represented by Dr. Chetan P. Kumar, Peace Outcome Leader of UNDP Philippines, who gave his welcome address to the attending body and Atty. Marvin Mokamad, Director of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government, who presented the Bangsamoro Community Resilience Framework. 

Participants of partner organizations and institutions coming from Bangsamoro Women Commission of Tawi-Tawi, Sulu and Basilan, Ministry of Indigenous Peoples Affairs, Ministry of Social Services and Development, LGU-Sarangani, Balay Mindanaw Foundation, Inc., Equal Access International, MSU-Maguindanao, and Western Mindanao State University showed their support to the workshop.
