A groundbreaking ceremony on March 4, 2021 marked the start of construction for the Mindanao State University – General Santos Medical Services Building.
The construction of the 6-bed capacity infirmary is envisioned to cater to the needs of the university students, faculty and staff through its different services such as outpatient consultation, admission, dental consultation, diagnostic laboratory and pharmacy.
MSU-System President Dr. Habib W. Macaayong, along with the Chancellor of Mindanao State University – General Santos Dr. Anshari P. Ali took part in the official groundbreaking ceremony. Dr. Mishell D. Lawas, the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Mr. Usman D. Aragasi, the newly-installed Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, Atty. Jamaloden A. Basar, the Vice President for Administration and Finance, Engr. Rashid Paca, the Vice President for Planning and Development, MSU-System Delegates, MSU-GSC officials, faculty and staff gathered at the Infirmary building to give their all-out support to the project.
In her speech, Dr. Usmaima Lily F. Usman-Naga, the University Physician and Director of Medical Services, expressed her gratitude over the support to the project and her hopes as we embrace the new normal.
