Mindanao State University-General Santos City (MSU-GSC) enters a partnership agreement with Golden Gate University (GGU). The partnership was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between MSU-GSC Chancellor Dr. Anshari P. Ali and GGU President Dr. David J. Fike. The ceremonial signing was held on March 31, 2021 via a virtual ceremony connecting the two institutions in General Santos City and San Francisco, California.
Dr. Ali believes that the signed cooperation agreement will strengthen its academic partnership and intensify international linkages. He further remarked that MSU-GSC is eager to contribute to GGU’s growth and development by carrying forward the envisioned activities under the MOU. Dr. Fike expressed his pleasure to develop the new partnership with MSU-GSC and highlighted the expected benefits of the cooperation.
The MOU will leverage each universities’ comparative advantage to consider the development of mutually beneficial academic collaborations including the exchange of faculty, students, researchers and other research and administrative, collaborative research projects, lectures and symposia, exchange of academic information and materials.
Attending the signing ceremony were Prof. Joaquin Jay Gonzales III, Chairperson of Public Administration Department – GGU, City Mayor Hon. Ronnel Rivera represented by Hon. Rosalita Nuñez, Dr. Wilfred Bidad, Dean of Graduate School – MSU-GSC, and Dun Oliver Abiera, Office of International Affairs Staff.
