Commitment to SDG 15: Life on Land
Mindanao State University – General Santos (MSU GenSan) is committed to supporting Sustainable Development Goal 15: Life on Land. We recognize the critical need to protect, restore, and promote the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, combat desertification, halt biodiversity loss, and ensure the health of our planet.
MSU GenSan integrates environmental conservation into its academic programs, research, and community outreach. Our faculty and students engage in projects on sustainable agriculture, reforestation, soil conservation, and habitat protection, helping preserve Mindanao’s rich biodiversity.
We collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and NGOs to implement initiatives such as tree planting, watershed management, and environmental education campaigns. Through these partnerships, we empower communities to become stewards of their natural resources.
By promoting sustainable land use, biodiversity conservation, and environmental awareness, MSU GenSan affirms its commitment to protecting life on land for present and future generations.
