Commitment to SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
Mindanao State University – General Santos (MSU GenSan) fully supports Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. We believe that promoting peaceful and inclusive societies, providing access to justice for all, and building effective, accountable institutions are foundations of sustainable development.
MSU GenSan fosters a culture of peace and respect for human rights through education, research, and community engagement. Our academic programs encourage critical thinking, ethical leadership, and civic responsibility, preparing graduates to uphold justice and good governance in their communities.
We partner with local government units, civil society, and other institutions to support initiatives that strengthen the rule of law, prevent violence, and promote social inclusion. Our extension programs deliver peace education, conflict resolution training, and human rights advocacy, especially in conflict-affected and marginalized communities in Mindanao.
By championing transparency, accountability, and participatory governance, MSU GenSan reaffirms its commitment to building peaceful, just, and inclusive societies for all.
