Mindanao State University General Santos formally signed an Implementing Agreement with G-Xchange, Inc. (GXI), the operator of GCash, to explore and utilize its digital financial services during a ceremonial signing held at the Chancellor’s Office on March 5, 2026.
The partnership aims to enhance the University’s financial transactions through secure and technology-driven payment and disbursement solutions.
In his message, Chancellor Shidik T. Abantas expressed optimism about the collaboration, “We look forward to this partnership with GCash as it will greatly help the University in modernizing our financial systems and ensuring faster and more efficient transactions for our stakeholders,” he shared.
Following the ceremonial signing, an orientation session led by GCash representatives Alvafaye Frances Vales, Account Manager for the Public Sector, and Bea Chermaine Ranada, Regional Sales Head for Public Sector–Mindanao, was conducted with the University’s key finance-related offices, including the Registrar, Accounting, Budget, Supply and Property Management and Procurement Management Offices. The session discussed the GCash services available for government partners and aimed to ensure the smooth implementation of the system across concerned units.
