The Mindanao State University – General Santos community convened for its weekly flag raising ceremony on April 27, 2026, led by the Institute of Islamic and International Studies and the University Registrar.
The program commenced with an interfaith invocation, featuring Muslim, Christian, and Indigenous Peoples (IP) prayers led by Allysser T. Lim, Kristine Lynne R. Albiso, and Jimjay Van P. Balandan, respectively, highlighting the university’s commitment to inclusivity and unity in diversity.
This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem, the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn, and the Gensan Hymn, fostering a shared sense of patriotism and community pride. Ms. Noraima Pada, MA, led the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas, while Ms. Sitie Ainah Edris, SCL, MA, administered the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan.
The ceremony was hosted by Asst. Prof. Rohanifah Abdul-Rahman, SCL, MA, and was attended by university officials, faculty members, staff, and students, further strengthening solidarity and collective purpose within the MSU-GenSan community.
