College of Health Sciences
The College of Health Sciences serves as one of the university’s academic institutions dedicated to the education, training, and development of competent, compassionate, and service-oriented health professionals committed to promoting health, wellness, and quality healthcare services in diverse communities. The college is focused on producing graduates who are equipped with strong scientific knowledge, clinical skills, and ethical values necessary for effective health service delivery and public health advancement.
More specifically, the college offers academic programs that emphasize health sciences education, clinical training, community health practices, and evidence-based approaches to healthcare. It facilitates laboratory work, practicum experiences, and field exposures that prepare students for real-world health settings and professional practice. The college also engages in research and extension activities that address public health concerns, promote preventive healthcare, and support community wellness initiatives. Undergraduate Programs
College of Nursing
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is a four-year health sciences program focused on preparing students for the nursing profession through outcomes-based education, evidence-based practice, and community-oriented health care. It emphasizes the integration of physical, social, natural, and health sciences with humanities to provide holistic, patient-centered nursing care in diverse clinical and community settings.
The BSN program at MSU-General Santos aims to develop highly skilled, compassionate, and globally competitive nursing professionals and healthcare leaders; generate evidence-based knowledge and innovative nursing practices through research and development; and engage proactively with diverse communities through high-impact, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered health programs and outreach initiatives.
