𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗮, 𝗧𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰
A total of 265 students from different colleges of Mindanao State University-General Santos (MSU-GenSan), celebrated excellence and unfolded their experiences as tutors and Youth Development Workers (YDW) as the Tara, Basa Tutoring Program successfully held its culminating activity on August 26.
The Tara, Basa Tutoring Program was initiated by the joined forces of the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), which aims to help students who are struggling with reading or those who canno’t even read, at the same time provide short-term employment to college students. The program conducted its 20-day session last July 1-26 in partnership with MSU-GenSan and to 2,132 participating learners and parents from 12 different public elementary schools within the city.
