    The Local Government Unit of General Santos City has funded ₱30 million for the construction of the College of Nursing Building of Mindanao State University–General Santos. The proposed two-storey facility, to be built within the MSU–GenSan campus along Laurel Avenue, will include 12 classrooms designed to support quality nursing education.

    Approved by City Mayor Lorelie Geronimo-Pacquiao, the funding reflects the strong partnership between MSU–GenSan and the City Government in advancing health and higher education. This initiative further highlights the city’s commitment to strengthening public education infrastructure and investing in the development of future health professionals.

    With the establishment of the new building, MSU–GenSan reinforces its role as the only public higher education institution in General Santos City offering a Nursing program expanding access to quality education and contributing to a more resilient and responsive local health system.
